KBBA volunteers to staff concession stands throughout the PGA tournament held here in Atlanta each Fall.  KBBA shares in the profits from these concession stands.
Fundraising

KBBA offers a variety of ways to help offset the cost of the band programs here at Kell.  Depending on the individual fundraising programs procceds may go to off-set the costs for an individual student, go to off-set the overall cost of the program, or be split between the two.  Below is a list of various fundraising activites with a brief description.

SCRIP

Year round. Scrip cards can be ordered and picked- up every Tuesday,
usually in either the Band Room or Latin Room, 5-7 PM.



Scrip is “substitute money” in the form of cash cards or certificates for specific merchants. These can be used to purchase products or services from participating merchants. A percentage of the purchase price goes to your student account.
100% of proceed goes to the Student Account. Amount of benefit varies by participating retailer.

Order and pickup cards on the weekly Scrip night. Some cards and certificates can be ordered directly from the
Scrip web site.

March-a-thon

Donations support the Marching Band as they march a predetermined
route through local neighborhoods

Each fall during the PGA event held in Atlanta.


The proceedes from this fundraiser go toward individual student accounts.  The current rate is set at 100% of each shift worked.

Be willing to cook, serve, and clean at various concession stands during the PGA event.

Donations can be
solicited ahead of
time. The donation
goal is $200 per
student.


50/50 Split.
50% of student proceeds go to off-set student costs and 50% go to the general fund.

The 2010  March-a-thon will be Saturday, August
14, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM,
followed by a party and
cook-out.

On-line Shopping

When you make your everyday purchases through OneCause, for everything from apparel to groceries to travel, you will earn much-needed contributions for your  school, at no extra cost to you.
On-line purchases through OneCause provide donations to the Kell Band progam.  Go to OneCause website to register and participate.
